“ZIPSA ROBOT that interacts with people and performs various tasks”

"It autonomously rotates its cylindrical body to transform into the most functional form for each task."

Inspired by the TARS robot from the movie Interstellar, the design explores the emotional connection between humans and object-shaped robots, emphasizing the potential for non-humanoid forms to foster meaningful interaction.

Equipped with a display, robotic arm, and autonomous navigation, it offers a variety of services including wayfinding, item delivery, docent functions, and online communication.

STORYFORM led the entire development of the ZIPSA ROBOT, from design strategy and exterior design to mechanical engineering and prototyping, bringing together technology and design to create a next-generation service robot.

The geometric, object-oriented design concept is a strategic approach to avoid the “uncanny valley” effect caused by imperfect humanoid forms, while achieving a mechanical form that feels approachable and trustworthy.
