GRILL-X는 AI 알고리즘으로 고기를 자동으로 구워내는 조리 로봇입니다.
스토리폼은 비욘드허니컴의 혁신적인 AI 기술이 실제 상업 주방 환경에서 작동할 수 있도록, 디자인 기획부터 기구 설계, 소량 양산, 품질 검수, 납품까지 전 과정을 통합 솔루션으로 제공했습니다.
제품개발의 핵심은 최소한의 주방 공간을 점유하면서도 조리 작업 동선을 최적화하는 것, 그리고 금형 사용을 최소화한 소량 생산 체계를 구축하는 것이었습니다.
GRILL-X is a cooking robot that automatically grills meat using AI algorithms.
STORYFORM provided an integrated solution for BEYONDHONEYCOMB—covering design strategy, mechanical engineering, low-volume manufacturing, quality inspection, and delivery—ensuring that their AI technology could operate effectively in real commercial kitchen environments.
The core of product development was to minimize kitchen footprint while optimizing workflow, and to establish a small-batch production system without relying on costly molds.
KEY DECISIONS
1) 상업용 주방 환경을 분석해 형태를 디자인하다
상업용 화구 구조와 실제 사용자 동선을 분석한 결과, 조리 준비 공간을 최대화하면서 설치 면적을 최소화하는 컴팩트한 형태가 필요했습니다.
슬림하고 내구성 있는 원형 금속 파이프를 구조재로 활용하고, 정밀하게 맞물리는 절곡 금속판 모듈을 설계해 효율적인 조리 환경에 최적화된 형태를 구현했습니다.
1) Designing the form through commercial kitchen analysis
An analysis of commercial burner structures and real user workflows revealed the need for a compact form that maximizes prep space while minimizing installation footprint.
Slim, durable round metal pipes were used as structural supports, paired with precisely fitted bent metal plate modules—resulting in a form optimized for the cooking environment.
2) 금형 없이 양산하는 개발 전략
소량 생산을 전제로 설계 단계부터 금형 사용을 최소화했습니다.
판금과 표준 파이프를 적극 활용해 부품 수를 줄이고 제조 공정을 단순화함으로써, 비용 효율적이면서도 품질이 균일한 생산 체계를 구축했습니다.
2) A development strategy built without molds
From the outset, the design was developed to minimize mold dependency for small-batch production.
By utilizing sheet metal and standard pipes, parts count was reduced and the manufacturing process was simplified—achieving a cost-efficient production system with consistent quality.
3) 디자인에서 납품까지, 통합솔루션 지원
스토리폼은 디자인 전략, 로봇 디자인, 기구 설계, 부품 생산, 품질 검수, 조립, 납품에 이르는 전 과정을 단일 파트너로서 통합 관리했습니다.
